Wasan Rafat
Undergraduate Student, CBP and History of Science
Wasan is an undergraduate student concentrating in Chemical and Physical Biology as well as History and Science. She works with Gerardo Zavala to study communication between modules within prodrug peptidases using in vitro biochemical assays. Building on her love for biology and chemistry in high school, Wasan grew interested in studying proteins while taking LS1a in her first semester of college. Since then, she has been fascinated with studying protein structure and function in the Gaudet lab. Outside of classes and lab, Wasan loves reading, writing poetry, and spending time with loved ones!
